Team of VIDEO-ographers to Join HSC News

HSC is steadily evolving.  First it was Seamus, then it was the School of Excellence.  On came Rossi, George Nimo, and then Power and Agility.  We’re attracting droves of coaching talent, and have recently launched The ACADEMY.  Now we have the Quad.  The pieces are falling into place, and we need your expertise to help build HSC Into the destination club to play, learn, and experience the joys of this beautiful game.

Come help us promote the club, build awareness of key events, and execute our communication strategy.  Your efforts will require shooting footage, and then piecing together video clips, pictures, and music that feature our players, teams, coaches, and facilities.  Time commitments will vary, and the workload will be split among team members.  Some experience helpful, but not required. Please contact Steve Sullivan for more info ssullivan@hersheys.com.

Applicants Beware: This role will make a difference.         Posted 8/15/07

Kicking for Kids Assistant Coordinator

For the past 13 years, the Hempfield Soccer Club has conducted its Kicking for Kids funds raiser on behalf of the Special Olympics of Lancaster County. As you know, we’ve raised over a quarter of a million dollars to date.

As a result of family commitments this fall, Dave Lewandowski, who coordinates the fund raiser, is looking for a person or persons to assist him in the operation of this year’s event.

According to Dave, the ideal person is a non-coach who would like to help others by contributing time and effort between now and Thanksgiving.

If you need more information, if you’d like to help, or if you know of someone who might (volunteers need not have children in the club), e-mail Dave at lewandow2@verizon.net, or call him at 898-9054. He’d be glad to hear from you, and, the sooner, the better. The Fall season is right around the corner.
