(May 22, 2006) The Hempfield Fire U-13 Girls went up against theYork United Premier team in the Red Rose Classic U-13 Championship. The game ended with a 1-1 tie and went to a shoot out. With a 3-2 shoot out, the Fire placed 2nd.. Job well done!!
The Fire also participated in the Quarry Classic the weekend of May 13th. Going up against difficult competition, the Fire shined again and placed 3rd in the U-13 division.

(May 22, 2006) The 3rd time was a charm for the U10 Hempfield Red Devils. The Red Devils coached by Chris Stolz and Steve Sullivan won the Swiss Miss Soccer Tournament on Saturday May 20th at Franklin & Marshall College.

(May 22, 2006) The Hempfield United girls soccer team won both of their brackets (first place) U8F red and U8F white at the Swiss Miss Soccer Tournament on Saturday May 20th at Franklin & Marshall College. Both teams are coached by Chris Ackerman & Wes Nolan.

(April 10, 2006) The Hempfield Power U-12 Girls were finalists at the prestigious Jefferson Cup in Richmond, Virginia (Premiere Bracket). The girls beat opponents from Charleston, South Carolina and Chapel Hill, North Carolina in the preliminaries (both 2-0) before beating a team from Delaware in the semi-finals 1-0. The girls tied Braddock Road, Virginia 1-1 in the final, but lost on penalty kicks. With the points won in this prestigious tournament the girls are now ranked third in Eastern Pennsylvania by www.gotsoccer.com
(March 2, 2006) The Hempfield Black Knights U10 Boys are Indoor State Cup Champions. The event was held February 4th at Rocket Sports. They also played in the U11 division for session one of indoor play and were declared Premier Champions! Congrats boys!

(December 19, 2005) Top fund raisers, Renee Vance of East Petersburg and Tyler Jackson of Landisville, display the $18,000 check that was recently presented to Special Olympics of Lancaster County as a Christmas present from the Hempfield Soccer Club. The funds were raised as a result of the club’s 12th Annual Kicking For Kids Weekend. (December 13, 2005) The Hempfield Red Devils U-10 Girls ended their 2005 successful fall season by entering the Hempfield Fall Classic. In their first visit to Premiere level of competition, the girls found themselves in a familiar place in the finals. Here they ran into a very tough Hulmeville Xtreme and suffered only their 3rd loss of the season and placed second in the finals. Congratulations on a fine season!
(December 10, 2005) The Hempfield Power U-12 Girls soccer team completed their season by winning the Premiere Division of the Hempfield Classic Soccer Tournament on November 20. 42 U-12 girls teams entered the tournament. Hempfield outscored their opponents 14-1 in the tournament and one of their victories was a 4-0 win over FC Delco which is generally recognized as one of the top clubs in the nation. On the season the girls were 18-1-1 scoring 58 goals and allowing only 4. They also won the Kirkwood Frederick Cup Girls Premiere Tournament and finished first in their Philadelphia Area Girls League going 9-0 in the league without allowing a goal. The girls are preparing for the Spring Season and a run at the State Cup in which they were semi-finalists last spring.
They are currently ranked 4th in Eastern PA by www.nationalsoccerranking.com.
(December 6, 2005) The U14 Girls Hempfield Storm advanced to the final in the “A” division at the Fall Classic. There they met PA Classics. In the championship match, the girls played some great possession soccer and jumped out to a 2-nil lead. Classics scored a goal in the final 4 minutes but the Storm held on to win 2-1. A great win for the girls who won their first Hempfield Fall Classic championship.
(December 6, 2005) The U12 Boys Hempfield Lightning advanced to the championship game in the A Division at this year’s Fall Classic. In the final they played a very talented Back Mountain team and dropped a 4-1 decision. The Lightning played superb soccer the entire weekend, earning the right to play in a tournament final for the first time. Well done Hempfield Lightning.
(November 28, 2005) The Hempfield Xtreme U15 Girls Premier Soccer team placed first in the Hempfield Classic tournament in the top premier division. They defeated Lower Dauphin United Eclipse 3-1 to win the Championship. Congrats to the girls for another great season!
(Nov 14, 2005) The Hempfield Red Devils U-10 Girls team were crowned Lanco League Champions in the Gold Division after winning the title on Nov. 13. The girls defeated Conestoga Valley 2-1 in the final to cap off a fall season that ended with a record of 18-1. They were also champions of the Al Perlini Labor Day tournament and finalists in the Dillsburg Dual Shootout where they lost in a shootout in the championship game. They outscored their opponents by a margin of 55-11 during the season. Great job Red Devils!
(Oct 11, 2005) Congratulations to the U12 Hempfield Fury girls who recently captured the B Division Championship at the Dillsburg Dual Shoot-Out. The team prevailed through a rain shortened Tournament to capture the Title in the Final Shoot-out of the Day with the WCUSC Blizzard 93 from the West Chester United Soccer Club.

(Oct 10, 2005) The Hempfield Power U-12 Girls were crowned champions of the Top Division of the Kirkwood Frederick Cup Girls Premiere Tournament beating SuperNova 4-1 in the championship game. The goal scored by SuperNova in the game's final minute was the first allowed by the Power in their previous 8 games.

The Girls are currently ranked 4th in Eastern Pennsylavania and 25th in Region I (East Coast from Virginia North) by National Soccer Ranking.Com. Since beginning to compete together as U-11's their regular season record in CPYSL, Lanco (playing up) and now PAGS is 16-0-4 allowing only 7 goals in their 20 games. They were also State Cup semifinalists in Spring 2005.

Duals Flight A division. The girls pulled out impressive wins in a rain
soaked shoot-out. The girls showed great resolve in many challenging

(Sept 28, 2005) The Hempfield Power U-12 Girls are currently ranked 4th in Eastern Pennsylavania and 25th in Region I (East Coast from Virginia North) by National Soccer Ranking.Com. Since beginning to compete together as U-11's their regular season record in CPYSL, Lanco (playing up) and now PAGS is 14-0-4 allowing only 7 goals in their 18 games. They were also State Cup semifinalists in Spring 2005.
(Sept 11, 2005) The Hempfield Fire girls U13 team placed 2nd in the Great Lehigh Valley Soccer Fest over Labor Day weekend. They placed 2nd to an all-star team, The Scream, from New York. They played to win and came back with trophies that represent the hard work. Parents and coaches are proud.
(Sept 6, 2005) The Hempfield Impact girls U17 team
took 1st place by going 3-0-1 in the U-17G bracket at the Al Perlini tournament in Warminster, PA. We only scored 4 goals, but allowed none. Opponents were Parkland, Langhorn, Upper Moreland and MSA.

The Hempfield U10 Red Devils girls team lived up to their name by outscoring their opponents 12-1 in four games to win the Labor Day Al Perlini tournament in Warminster. Outstanding defense and a relentless attack proved too much for their opponents in 4-1, 3-0,
2-0,and 3-0 victories.
(July 23, 2005) Congratulations to the Hempfield Rockets who placed 2nd in the 2005 3V3 Soccer Shootout U8 Boys division. These boys are very talented for their ages and are already looking ahead to competing in next year's tournament. Teammates are as follows: Riley Stadel, Eric Snyder, Connor Moffatt, Alex Cook, Kurtis Rineer and Colby Smith. Good luck next year as the team will still play in the U8 division.
(July 18, 2005) The Hempfield U13 Storm girls team finished in 1st place at the Hampden Girls Tournament. 4 games, 4 clean sheets! Superb performance in all four matches, including a victory against the Cranford Arsenal, a highly touted and highly ranked New Jersey team.
(July 18, 2005) The Hempfield U18 Blast boys team completed a successful season with great final event for their senior players. The team went to Virginia Beach over the Memorial Weekend and took first place in there age group. LHFC Mustangs a 1-1 tie,Va Rush United a win of 4-1,Stafford Team America a win of 3-1 and in the final they played D.I.S.C, Raiders from Dover, Del. winning by a score of 5-0.Senior Tommy Shireman went out with a bang, scoring 7 goals during the tournament.
(July 18, 2005) On May 23rd many of the Hempfield Blast Juniors and Seniors played in the High School Junior/Senior game. Thirty two players participated. The game was an awesome display of soccer and a big success. The game was won by the Seniors 2 to 1. There were about 250 people in attendance and $350.00 was raised for Post Prom thru donations. (July 18, 2005) Coaches Wes Nolan and Charles Ackerman entered their U8 girls team in the 3v3 Soccer Shootout and the 7 year olds took home 1st place in the U8 rec division.
Players Mariah Cadzow, Schyler Ackerman, Marah Foltz, Skylar Lechene, Taylor Nolan, & Katrina Shelly participated.
(June 19, 2005) The Hempfield U12 Boys completed a successful spring season by winning their third straight tournament. These talented boys were champions at the PA Dutch Red Rose Classic, the Gettysburg Blue-Grey Cup, and the Lehigh Valley Youth Soccer League Spring Tournament. They also finished atop the Lanco League in the spring season scoring 17 goals and allowing only 4 goals in 6 games. Congratulations to these boys and good luck in the Delco League next year.
(June 14, 2005) The Hempfield Hat Tricks girl's soccer team won their U-10 division of the Whitewater Cup Classic Soccer Tournament held near Wilkes Barre on June 11-12. They went undefeated with 3 wins and no goals against. The Hat Tricks finished the regular season in the Central Pennsylvania Youth Soccer League with a record of 7 wins and 1 loss with 31 goals for and only 10 goals against. The girls won 2 tournaments going undefeated with 6 wins and 1 tie and they where not score upon while scoring 17 goals against their opponents.
(June 8, 2005) The Hempfield POWER lives up to their name: This U-11 girl's team played in the CPYSL league in the fall of 2004 and they were champions of the top division with a record of 6-0-2. In the Spring season to be eligible for the EPYSA State Cup they entered the LANCO League but moved up to play in the U-12 ELITE division to play in tougher competition. They finished the league as the only team without a loss with a record of 4-0-2. Through 2 tough seasons in 2 tough leagues the Hempfield POWER came through without a loss. In the State Cup there were 22 teams and the POWER made it through to the semi finals defeating the #2 ranked team in the PAGS league in the Quarter finals. The team unity and spirit they displayed both on and off the field were remarkable.
(June 8, 2005) The Hempfield Blaze U12 Girls finished out the 2005-2006 seasons with an overall outdoor record of 25-9-9, outscoring their opponents 76-26. The year included 1st place in Lanco League Elite fall season, 1st place in Lanco League Elite fall playoffs, 1st place in Lanco League Elite spring season, and 1st place in their last tournament together as a team in the spring.
(June 2005) Congratulations to the Hempfield Heat U14 Boys for their achievements throughout the 2005/2006 season: 2nd Place -- Spirit United Kickoff Classic; 5th Place -- Gettysburg Battlefield Blast Tournament; 1st Place -- Hempfield Fall Classic; 2nd Place -- Delco League Playoffs; 2nd Place -- Indoor Tide America State Cup; 2nd Place -- Nether Providence Field of Dreams Tournament; 2nd Place -- 3v3 Tournament; 1st Place -- Gettysburg Blue-Gray Cup.
(June 2005) Congratulations to the Hempfield Blaze U12 Girls, who took first place in the Hampden Girls Soccer Memorial Day Tournament Flight 2, winning the final 2-1 against the McClean Grasshoppers on a goal with just over a minute to go. The victory avenged a 1-0 loss to McClean in March at the Prince William Tournament in Quantico VA, a game which McClean won on a goal with just over a minute to go.
(May 2005) The Hempfield Hat-Tricks girl's soccer team won the U-10 division of the PA Dutch Red Rose Classic on Columbus Day 2005. They had a record of 3 wins and 1 tie. The team scored 13 goals while not allowing a single goal against.
(May 2005) Congratulations to the U14 Red Jammers, who went 4-0 in the girls red bracket, defeating the SCCSA Hornets 1-0 in the finals of the PA Dutch Red Rose tournament on Columbus Day 2005.
(April 2005) Congratulations to the U10 Hempfield Storm for the following recent results: Southampton Easter Tournament 2005 - 1st place in U10 Division; Hempfield Fall Classic 2004 - 1st place Red Division; LANCO League Fall Tournament - 2nd place; Valley Forge Revolution Tourney 2004 - 3rd place.
(April 2005) Congratulations to the U13 Storm for taking 1st place at the Nether Providence Field of Dreams tournament in Bracket A. Congratulations also to the Storm for taking 1st place at Lanco Fieldhouse during the Winter Session 2, U14 Division.

(December 2004) Kicking for Kids 2004 Winners. Euan Nyguist and Brianna Thomas were top fund raisers in the Club's 11th Annual Kicking For Kids Weekend, which culminated with a check
of $21,000 that was presented recently to Special Olympics of Lancaster County. Over 500 Hempfield players participated in the event, which was held last fall. Now in its 11th year, the event raised over $21,000 for the local Special Olympics program, marking the sixth year in a row the event has raised over $20,000 and bringing the total amount of funds raised over the history of the event to $218,000. All of the funds raised by the event go to the local Special Olympics.


2004 Fall Season Winners. This is a partial list of Hempfield team results during the fall 2004 season:
Dillsburg U10 Results. All the U10 Girls teams did well at Dillsburg and deserve recognition for their exceptional play in their very first tournament. The Hat Tricks came in 2nd out of 24 teams in the Division 1 bracket, finishing 2nd to the top-seeded team out of West Chester. The Lightning came in 6th in the Division 2 bracket, and the Red Hot Shots came in 1st in the Division 3 bracket. Congratulations to all the kids!
Allentown Results. The U12 Girls Blaze finished in 3rd place at Allentown, including a 2-1 double overtime thriller against Deep Run in their final game. This was the second time this season that the Blaze defeated Deep Run in double overtime--the same thing happened at Gettysburg over Labor Day.
U8 Winners! A group of current U8 girls have qualified for the Got Milk? 3v3 National Tournament at Disney World's Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida, January 16-16, 2005. To help defray the cost to travel to the tournament, the team is running a snack table at A Herr Park on Saturday mornings. All the attention is bringing excitement to the park on Saturdays, as well as excitement to the U8 program. Good luck, girls!
U14 Girls Hempfield X-treme took 1st place at the Gettysburg tournament.
U11 Girls Hempfield Power players Julia Casselbury, Rachel Cox, Ally Kasun, Danielle Platt, and Paige Scornavacchi won their bracket at the Redland 3v3 tournament.
U14 Boys Hempfield Heat placed 2nd at Spirit United in the gold division the weekend of August 21,22.

Hempfield Power U11 Girls. Julia Casselbury, Rachel Cox, Ally Kasun, Danielle Platt, and Paige Scornavacchi of the Hempfield Power U11 Girls team won the U10 Bracket of the Redland 3v3 soccer tournament on July 10-11, 2004. They went 6-0 outscoring their opponents 46-6.

2004 Spring Season Winners. This is a partial list of Hempfield teams who did well in Spring season tournaments this year:
U10 Girls Hempfield Charge. Champions- Top Division Nether Field of Dreams; Finalists- Red Rose Classic; Bracket Champion (Playoffs cancelled due to weather) - Lebanon Valley Classic.
U11 Boys Blasters coached by Bill Gately - semi-finalist at Ross Haney Tournament, champion at Hempfield Fall Classic, Champion at Chambersburg Pepsi Challenge Tournament; Lanco League champion in Fall; undefeated in State Cup games at 2-0-1; recognized by Adidas as the 6th ranked team in the state; recognized by NationalSoccerRankings as the 9th ranked team in the state; overall record of 40-17-6.
U12 Girls Red Hot Rage coached by Jack Kremer - 1st at the White Water Tournament.
U13 Boys Hempfield Heat won the Blue Gray Cup in Gettysburg. The team also recently took second at the Sunburst Tournament, losing to the 4th ranked team in NJ in the championship game.
U13 Girls Hempfield X-Treme coached by Dave Howells and Seamus Donnelly won the Voorhees Tournament.
U13 Girls Hempfield Red Jammers coached by Tom Hallowell was a finalist in the Hampden Girls Tournament.

United Girls Soccer Team. Congratulations to the United Girls soccer team, which finished first in the U9 Turkey Hill 3v3 Super Soccer Shootout at F&M on Saturday, May 22, 2004. The United girls were seeded first after pool play, and went on to win over Leeds Yellow, 5-4 in overtime in the finals. All the girls on the team played in the Spring for the Hempfield Soccer Club's Purple Twister U10 team.

Kicking for Kids 10th Anniversary. The 10th anniversary of Kicking For Kids was the cover story of the May 2004 issue of EPYSA's Touchline magazine. Read more by visiting the EPYSA website and click on the Touchline icon on the left side of their home page.

Lancaster New Era Red Rose. The New Era Rose is presented each week to Lancastrians who accomplish something exceptional on the job, in school, in volunteer activities, Or who in other ways represent the best achievements of the community. On April 3, 2004, the New Era presented Dave Lewandowski with a Red Rose for his service to the community through Kicking for Kids. Congratulations, Dave!

Bill Gately's Indoor U8 Team. Bill Gately's indoor Under 8 team recently went undefeated for 2 indoor sessions at the LANCO Fieldhouse over the winter of 2003-2004. They had a record of 20-0.

Hempfield Soccer Club Fun Night. Fun Night on April 2, 2004 at Lanco was a huge success, and we have pictures online to celebrate! More than 1800 people came out. Thanks to everyone who came. Special thanks to all our volunteers and to Loren Good for organizing and chairing the event.
