2012 U16-U19 College Showcase Information

The Hempfield Fall Classic is proud to announce that we are starting a College Showcase program for the first time this year. 

We are teaming up with Captain U to profile players and recruit college coaches to this year's tournament.  For the first year we will focus the College Showcase efforts in the U16 through U19 age groups. We are planning to invite college coaches from the region to come and observe the older players.

As part of the College Showcase we will host several College Exhibition games on Friday, November 16 at the Lanco Fieldhouse indoor facility.   For these games, coaches will be invited to nominate several Junior and Senior class players to participate in college showcase matches. 

Info Regarding College Showcase this year:

  • Player Profiles will be created by Captain U and distributed by the tournament.
  • Friday Night College ID Exhibition Games will be held indoors at LANCO Fieldhouse. Team coaches may nominate 2 Junior or Senior players to participate.
  • Linked for college coaches are the details and current rosters of players registered for the Fri night College ID games - rosters updated 11/16
  • College coaches, please register directly to attend: Please go to page linked here . Also register with Captain U below.
  • Colleges attending are posted here - check often for updates.
  • Here is the link to the email communication and info for players participating in the College ID games Friday night. Rosters as of 11/16 have been included and this provides info so that you know when and where to report.
  • Players must present a completed Lanco Fieldhouse waiver if participating in the college ID games to be held at the Lanco Fieldhouse on Friday, Nov 16.

    

We have provided more details on the College Showcase Program to these age group team coaches including the link to create your player profile at Captain U below.  Please begin to set up your player info.

If your team has been accepted to the tournament players should begin to contact colleges they are interested in to let them know they will attend the Hempfield Fall Classic.  This generates more interest from the coaches in the event. Schedules and college coaches that have registered to that date will be posted on Oct 22 and we suggest you share the link to the schedules web page with those coaches between Oct 25 and Nov 1 for any school you are interested in.

Age Groups

The Hempfield Fall Classic College Showcase portion of the tournament will be available to all teams accepted to the U16-U19 ages in all divisions, Premier, A and B.
